The largest of its type in New Zealand, Pioneer Village presents over 40 original buildings, including many authentic structures, over its 4 hectare site. Almost everything is covered from township to country.

Inside the buildings are artefacts of the pioneering era. Enjoy mountain views, a family picnic or on-site cafe & feeding the animals Stratford Hospital Museum within displays comprehensive hospital memorabilia & equipment. Several interactive displays will keep the children entertained. Loved by everyone.

perating daily, the “Pioneer Express” train will take you on 2 fun circuits of the Village. Every fourth Sunday of the month craftsmen operate.

Open 10am – 4pm, every day except Christmas Day.
